Hannah Bernath

What brought you back?

Ultimately, I decided to move back because my family is here, but since returning I’ve been excited about the changes in Roanoke. There’s a lot more to do than there used to be, and more businesses/activities are popping up that you don’t typically find in a city this size. I think my fiancé and I are here to stay; we just recently bought a house.

What’s your favorite part about living in the Roanoke Region?

I’ve come to love the mountains here and everything they bring to the region. This area is beautiful in the fall, and there are so many amazing hikes available within a 2-hour radius.

What professional/social groups are you involved in? How can others get involved?

I am a part of the Young Professionals group at Delta Dental of Virginia. Others (of any age) at our company are always welcome to join in on our activities throughout the year. We like to partner with Experience as well.

Where is your favorite place to hang out/work out/eat out?

My fiancé and I love the pizza and burgers at Beamers, and go to Three Notch’d a lot for their apps and beer. Downtown Roanoke has a lot of great food options and we love the atmosphere.

What’s an interesting fact about yourself that you like to share as a conversation starter?

I’ve done almost 50 escape rooms in 8 states.
