Roanoke's Community Inclusion program aim to support the refugee, immigrant, and New American communities. We celebrate the strength that diversity brings to our city and offer services and programs to ensure these communities have meaningful and equitable access to all City services, departments, and activities. Our vision is for all Roanoke residents to achieve their goals, secure employment that matches their education and experience, live long, safe, and healthy lives, and find a place in Roanoke where they belong and feel welcomed:

Learning English as Second Language
Roanoke City Public Schools provides comprehensive programs and services for students who are English Learners (EL). Culturally, ethnically, and racially diverse, our strength as a school division is rooted in this diversity. In additions, classes for parents and guardians take place throughout the school year.

Immigrant Connection Blue Ridge
Immigrant Connection Blue Ridge helps people who want to become citizens of the United States of America. They act as the first point of contact for any immigration issues to get the right help in the most cost effective way. They are an approved and certified site that offers assistance to low-income individuals eligible for an immigration benefit.
