The Get2KnowNoke Talent Ambassadors are a passionate group of folks who want to share the best parts of living and working in the Roanoke Region.
These pop-up events are FREE to attend (unless otherwise stated), casual, and a great way to make new connections.

Lattes & Lyrics, Friday, April 17

Lyrics & Lattes is an open mic experience presented by Poems and Coffee Studios that brings together poetry, spoken word, and live performance in an intimate, community-centered setting. The evening will feature performances from artists, along with an open mic portion for those ready to step up and share their own work. Whether you’re performing or attending, you can expect a welcoming environment that encourages connection, creativity, and real conversation. (Ran by Talent Ambassador Jalen Small)

The Ladies Noke Monthly Meet Ups

As the newest women's social group in Roanoke, VA, The Ladies Noke is a space for you to find new friends through shared experiences. This group is a community created for women by women, connecting like-minded ladies through authentic experiences and meaningful moments. With a variety of events throughout the year (creative experiences, social nights, wellness and fitness), every gathering is an opportunity to make memories and meet your new favorite people. PLAYPride Spring Kickball & Fall Softball League

Let us introduce you to Roanoke's inclusive rec sports league, PLAYPride! The first of its kind run by a municipal government in Virginia, this sports league is a partnership between Roanoke City Parks & Recreation, the Roanoke Diversity Center, and Blue Ridge Pride Sports, built for LGTBQIA+ folks and allies to have a place to be active, meet others, and feel at home.
