The neighborhood of Melrose-Rugby possesses both historic and cultural richness. More than 100 of its Craftsman-style buildings comprise the historic district, while more mid-century homes have been developed on the northern borders. The upcoming Melrose Plaza, slated to open in 2025, honors the legacy of the Roanoke Valley’s Black Wall Street.
