When the 1172 Rooftop Bar opened on Main St. Fincastle, it was newsworthy. They used a crane to hoist an old prop plane to use as the backbone of their unique bar.

Okay, so technically this isn’t outdoor dining, as Parkway does not have a kitchen. But it’s such an amazing spot that we had to include it. They have a huge outdoor space that even has a bridge connecting two sides of a creek. There are live music and food trucks ALL THE TIME – so we think it counts!

Kids love playing in the woods and the creek, and parents love relaxing and drinking delicious Virginia-made craft beer!
