FAQ

What is a virtual booth?

Virtual expos allow attendees to browse and engage with vendors. You can do this through live chat, or live streaming. Pick and choose “live” times and have content at the booth for the entire conference!

What is required on the day of the event?

The virtual format of this event allows you to interact as much or as little as you want. You can upload a pre-recorded video that will be played on a loop for booth visitors, or you can add on the live video option and be able to do some face-to-face conversations with visitors to your booth. (This option is ideal for employers looking to hire or recruit talent.)

What can be in my booth?

You can have photos, a video loop, website links, and downloadable content (think PDF, Word documents, printable coupons) for participants. Anyone that clicks a link will be added to your leads.

What will I need?

You will need a logo and some verbiage. Don’t worry! Our team will help you make sure your booth is up and running prior to the event.

What are the specifications for booth media?

Submit a jpg or png for logos or images.

  • Logo 700×350
  • Card logo/image 700×700
  • Exhibitor banner image 1100×234 (no text)
  • Exhibitor card image 1112×256 (no text)

Who will be in attendance?

The 2021 Experience conference will be marketed to young professionals and college students from the Roanoke Region and beyond.

How do I build my database?

There are built-in lead generators for each booth. If you have live chat or live video-enabled, participants are added to your lead list if they engage with a person via these methods. If you have posted content for participants to download, that will also add them to your lead list. If you would like, we can add a custom button for participants to “Drop their name card” for a follow up meeting or connection.

What if I want more visibility at this event?

Custom sponsorship packages are also available. Contact Erin Burcham at erin@roanoke.org or Katie Beach at katie@roanoke.org.

What is a Micro-Internship?

Micro-internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that help you get small projects completed quickly with short-term talent. Micro-internships can take place year-round, typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, and are due between one week and one month after being assigned. Micro-internships are used by everyone from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups, and in sales, marketing, technology, HR, and finance. Get2KnowNoke is hosting Roanoke Region micro-internships on the Parker Dewey platform. Companies pay a fixed fee for projects and Parker Dewey takes care of all the logistics such as W9s and processing payment for contract projects.
